When is Prime Day 2026?

Amazon has officially announced that Prime Day 2026 will take place in June, not the usual July slot. While the exact dates haven’t been published, historical timing points to the week of June 15 or June 22. The event typically runs 48 hours, but recent Prime Days have stretched to 4 days.

To shop deals you need an active Prime membership. If you don’t have one, Amazon usually offers a free 30-day trial right before Prime Day — sign up that week so you don’t pay for a year.

Laptops

Where Prime Day always delivers: mid-tier laptops in the $400–800 range — Lenovo IdeaPad, HP Pavilion, ASUS Vivobook lines see 25-40% off. Apple MacBook Air gets modest 5-10% Amazon-direct discounts. Gaming laptops usually 15-20% off RRP.

Pre-Prime baseline picks from our testing: see our Best Laptop Under $800 roundup. We’ll mark which of these picks drop further during the event.

Headphones & Earbuds

The strongest deal category, period. Amazon-brand earbuds (Echo Buds), Sony, Bose, JBL and Anker all see steep cuts. Last year the Sony WH-CH720N dropped to $89 (from $129) and the Bose QC45 hit $179 (from $199). Apple AirPods Pro 3 historically sees a $30 drop. Expect 20-35% off ANC headphones across the board.

Watch list: see our Best ANC Headphones Under $200 and Best Earbuds Under $100 roundups for the picks we’ll monitor.

Smartphones

Mid-range Android phones — Google Pixel 8a, Samsung Galaxy A55, OnePlus Nord — see 15-25% off. iPhones historically don’t discount during Prime Day; if you want an iPhone deal, wait for Black Friday.

See our Best Smartphone Under $500 roundup for our current under-$500 picks.

Monitors

4K monitors $300–600 see consistent 20-30% drops. LG, Dell and ASUS go deepest; the Apple Studio Display does not discount. Ultrawide monitors usually 15% off RRP.

SSDs & Storage

Storage is the most predictable Prime Day category — internal NVMe SSDs and portable SSDs both see 30-45% cuts. Samsung T7 Shield, SanDisk Extreme Pro, Crucial X9 are the names to watch. 2TB portable SSDs often drop below $150 for the first time of the year.

See our portable SSD roundup.

Smartwatches & Fitness Trackers

Apple Watch SE typically $50 off, Fitbit and Garmin go deeper at 25-30% off. The Whoop and Oura ring subscriptions don’t discount.

See smartwatch roundup and fitness tracker roundup.

Keyboards & Mice

Logitech, Keychron, Razer and Corsair all see 25-35% cuts. Mechanical keyboards from Keychron drop the most in absolute dollars. Vertical and ergonomic mice (Logitech MX, Anker) go 30% off.

See mechanical keyboards roundup and ergonomic mice roundup.

Wi-Fi 7 Routers & Mesh

Wi-Fi 7 routers are now mainstream and Prime Day is the first major sale event since they hit shelves at scale. Expect 20-30% off TP-Link, ASUS, Netgear Orbi. Mesh systems (eero, Google Nest Wifi) follow the same pattern.

Tactics — get the actual best price

1. Subscribe to product price-drop alerts before Prime Day. Camelcamelcamel.com and Keepa show historical Amazon prices — if today’s “deal” is the same as last month, it’s not a deal.

2. Check competitor prices. Best Buy, Walmart and B&H Photo often price-match Prime Day deals (sometimes one day before, to capture the search traffic).

3. Stack Prime visa rewards. 5% back at Amazon with the Prime Visa stacks with deal pricing.

4. Ignore the Lightning Deals timer pressure. Prime Day prices on top-tier products usually stay the same across all 48 hours. Anything that disappears in 30 minutes is rarely the best deal of the event.

How we’ll update this page

Once Prime Day opens, we’ll add a verified deal table at the top of each category section — only deals that beat the last 90-day Amazon low and only on products we’ve tested or vetted. Refresh this page during the event; the pinned date below tracks the last update.
