Which size and resolution?
- 24-inch: 1080p is fine. Good for small desks or two screens side by side.
- 27-inch: get 1440p at least. 1080p at 27″ looks soft for text.

- Refresh rate: 60–100 Hz is fine for work; 144 Hz+ for gaming.
- HDMI 2.1 only matters for PS5 / Xbox at 4K 120 Hz.
FAQ
Is 4K worth it on a 27-inch monitor?
For text, spreadsheets and photos, yes. It is noticeably sharper than 1440p. For gaming on a mid-range graphics card, 1440p at high refresh rate is usually the better experience.
One big monitor or two smaller ones?
Two 24″ screens are cheap and easy to arrange for side-by-side work. One 27–32″ 4K screen has no gap in the middle and uses a single cable. Both work well; it depends on your desk.
Verdict
